Freedom of speech a fundamental

building block of free society,

affirmed by the U.S. Bill of Right

in 1791 and by the

U.N. Declaration of Human Rights

in 1948.

I hope many bloggers and website owners are aware of places like  the EFF: Blue Ribbon Campaign.

A lot of useful and educational topics are on that page especially the topic at the bottom left and also the topic labeled “Bloggers Rights”

A paragraph that caught my attention was:

Like all journalists and publishers, bloggers sometimes publish information that other people don’t want published. You might, for example, publish something that someone considers defamatory, republish an AP news story that’s under copyright, or write a lengthy piece detailing the alleged crimes of a candidate for public office.
